Struggle with Soda

I am always stopping soda and starting again.  I do not know why I have not been able to find the self-control just to stop.  Here’s the deal.  I love soda.  There is something about Dr. Pepper that I love.  If it is hot summer day than Mountain Dew can’t be beat.  I then discovered the Big Gulp, which I recently discovered was close to 1 liter.  I ran a marathon a year ago and have since put on 30 pounds.  I am now back running and trying to get back in shape.  Step one is soda.

I am trying to change the behavior by drinking tea or Snapple.  I do enjoy Snapple, but it doesn’t give me the same rush that soda does.  I have made it three days without soda, let me know if you have any tips.
