The face of the typical Entrepreneur is not what you would think.  It is not the Harvard graduate who can stay up all night and work on his business.  This article explores the face and importance of entrepreneurship in this country.

The need for Entrepreneurship grows every day that the recession continues.  Job growth is imperative as our corporations shed jobs.  If you are looking for a job now is a good time to think about possible consulting or alternative revenue sources.  It is good to see that Entrepreneurship is not dominated by people in their twenties but accessible and vital.

Start Up 101

I have found a great essay on what a Start Up looks like.  I know this year many people’s goal is to start their own company in some way.  This is a fantastic starting point on the adventure.

Mint, a personal finance website, founder Aaron Patzer gives a very candid presentation about how he took each step with Mint.  It is very informative for anyone interested in running or starting their own business.  I thought I would just watch a couple of minutes, but found myself watching the entire video.

Entreprenuer Optimism

One of our favorite Entrepreneur Bloggers, Dr. Jeff Cornwall,  has posted this depressing information about optimism among entrepreneurs.  We just came from a dinner where we were talking with a business coach, who had previously been in Investment Banking.  He seemed to think that optimism was going too.  Maybe we should start calling this beast what it is, a Depression.
